Generic deformation channels for critical Fermi surfaces in the collisionless regime

Using a quantum Boltzmann equation framework, we analyze the nature of generic low-energy deformations critical Fermi surface, which exists at non-Fermi liquid fixed point system consisting fermions interacting with massless bosons. The behaviour arises due to itinerant quasiparticles surface strongly bosons, on other hand undergo Landau damping as result mutual interactions. Focussing collisionless regime, where neglect collision integral, chalk out possible excitations spanning entire spectrum angular momentum (ℓ) channels (i.e., including both small and large values ℓ). are two types: particle-hole like localized forming an energy band (or continuum) delocalized collective modes discrete energies. Although find mode analogous zero sound liquid, its dispersion shows crossover from Ω∼|q|6/5 usual Ω∼|q| dependence, Ω q represent frequency momentum, respectively. We estimate scale this takes place. also determine boundary for continuum in Ω–q plane, observe Ω∼|q|3/2 behaviour, determined by another scale.
